
BookItLive offers a choice of booking options for managing your bookings – both public and/or private.
The Public Booking view provides pages where your clients can make online bookings, and purchase products (packages and promotions) themselves. By default, the public booking view is visible to the public, but can be disabled if you do not want clients to make their own booking for a particular Service.
The details on your business dashboard are private and only visible to you and your assigned users (managers and staff members). You can elect to have all your booking activities privately via your business dashboard. In this case you and your staff would take bookings and enter them in the system manually.
Switch public view offline (account-wide)
Switching your account offline to restrict clients from making online bookings and purchases.
- Login to bookitlive
- Find the "Public View Online" option in the "Settings" tab.
- Turn the switch OFF for the "Public View Online" option.
When your Public View is offline, your Dashboard will display offline in the top-right corner. Clients will not be able to make online bookings or purchases, making the the booking for all services private.
Switch public view online (account-wide)
If your account is offline and you want to switch it back online to allow for public bookings and purchases:
- Login to bookitlive
- Find the "Public View Online" option in the "Settings" tab.
- Turn the switch ON for the "Public View Online" option.
Public View for Selected Services
Businesses may have some Services that they would like to schedule and manage internally only, and restrict public customers from being able to make bookings for.
For example, a golf club may have a members-exclusive Service that they offer which they would exclusively manage bookings for on behalf of members who have access to this Service.
To make specific Services privately managed and removed them from the Public Booking View:
- Open the "Configurations" tab and select the "Services" option from the dropdown menu
- Open the Service that you wish to remove from Public Booking viewing
- Uncheck the "Visible from public view" checkbox
- Save to confirm changes
Public View for Selected Resources
Similar to Public Viewing for Selected Services, businesses can also restrict the different Resources that public customers are able to make bookings with.
To make specific Resources privately managed and removed them from the Public Booking View:
- Open the "Configurations" tab and select the "Resources" option from the dropdown menu
- Open the Resource that you wish to remove from Public Booking viewing
- Uncheck the "Visible from public view?" checkbox
- Save to confirm changes
Public View for Selected Products
Similar to Public Viewing for Selected Services and Bookings, businesses can also restrict the different Products that public customers are able to make bookings with.
To make specific Resources privately managed and removed them from the Public Booking View:
- Open the "Configurations" tab and select the "Products" option from the dropdown menu
- Open the Resource that you wish to remove from Public Booking viewing
- Uncheck the "Visible from public view" checkbox
- Save to confirm changes
